The Daily Frame May 21st - 27th Remington, Virginia Photographer

Hello, It is time to share my week in photos with you.  Summer is setting in and we are enjoying the warm weather and enjoying spending our evenings outside.  Only a week until school lets out so we are officially on the countdown.  At the end of my post be sure to follow along to the next photographer in our circle to see what she has been up to this week.

So let's get to it...

140/365: He has my heart in ways I can't even understand myself sometimes.
It's true, we are crazy nuts in love.  We also drive each other mad and annoy the crap out of one another. There are these moments though when you look at each other and you can just feel the chemistry between you. It may be over something silly as an inside joke, or just knowing what the other is going to say before they say it. What ever it is, I will take it.

141/365: Pizza night
On Fridays when we go to pick up Ethan we love to stop at our favorite pizza place. Anthony's pizza. It is a small little hole in the wall place, but they have the best New York style pizza. We all look forward to it every other week.

142/365: Today while we were out we picked up these fun daisy headbands. You couldn't wait to put one on and get a photo. The light was so gorgeous this afternoon.

143/365: Memorial Day Weekend
Today we had an eventful day, we went to the beach for a little day trip, we went for ice cream on the way home and then played in the back fields this evening taking lots of fun photos.   I will share more from this day in another post.   This image is my absolute favorite. You are all together and it is just perfect. I knew I wanted an image with you guys and the flag, but this was better than what I thought I was going to get.

144/365: First Watermelon
We LOVE watermelon in our house. The kids are so excited it is watermelon time. Especially Conor. As you can see he was definitely enjoying his first slice of the summer.

145/365: Daisies and Tie Dye

The other day Mariah came running in the house so excited that she had something to show me. I wasn't sure what to expect to be honest. When we came outside she made me close my eyes and brought me over to the edge of our yard. There they were, these few little daisies in the edge of our yard. It's the little things.... I love these wild little flowers so very much. So she knew I would be happy to see them.

Then things got weird, Matthew comes out in a tie dye shirt! If you know my hubby at all, you know that this is just not him. He was doing it to mess with me of course, but all in good fun. I did dare him to wear the shirt to work the next day, and surprisingly he did. I'm sure his co workers got a huge laugh. We took a few photos just for fun of course. :)

I'd like to title this one... Never Trust a Hippie

146/365: Sweet Summertime
On these hot days it is so much fun to play in the hose. Why not right?

Next up check out Liz Godfrey from Connecticut. She always has some gorgeous images to share. I especially love her black and white images.  Click here to check out her week.

I hope you enjoyed the photos this week. I took lots of photos this week, now I just have to get them all edited.  Until next time... xo

I promise you, there is some amazing talent in this circle. You will not be disappointed.

The Daily Frame May 14th - 20th Remington, Virginia Photographer

Hello again, If you have been following along, thanks for sticking it out through my life rambling and photos of our weeks. I've found that this project is good for photographing my days but  also for often documenting a feeling or emotion that went on throughout the week.

133/365: Disappointment
You are my middle child. You often struggle with wanting to go and do with the older boys and also wanted to still be babied like you are the youngest.  You are also the only girl.  I try to make up for that by trying to do extra special things.  Today you were quite upset and disappointed by another family member. You let out a  lot of your feelings of hurt and how you feel that others are given more than you and you feel that you are not loved as much as your brother. This broke my heart so much and I wished that I could instantly take this hurt from you.  I did the best I could and spent as much time with you as I could to make your heart feel better. I tried to teach you that material things are not a sign of love. Love is so much more than that.  As a child it is often hard to understand that. Once you were beginning to feel better you went outside to play, but I could still see that you were reflecting on these feelings.

134/365: Peonies
I love these flowers. I wish they were around longer than just a few weeks. Each year when they come up and bloom I always get excited and love to photograph them.

135/365: Running Free in the Woods
This afternoon we decided to take a trip down to the river to get out and just let some energy out.   It was about to storm and when we got to our favorite beach spot, it was filled with fisherman.  So we didn't stay there very long. We did explore lots of trails though which was so much fun.  This was my favorite shot from our day.  I love how free you look and how you were imagining that you were on an adventure.

136/365: Sunday at the park
This morning we got up early and went to the park to play at the baseball field. It was really hot, but we had so much fun seeing how far everyone could hit the balls. I took many photos, but I loved the way you look in this one. You are covered in dirt and sweat, but I know that means you had the best time and I love that little grin on your face.

137/365: Rainbow Sky
Today we had a little storm on the way home. I just knew there was going to be a rainbow. Sure enough there was.  There is just something so magical about them that I love. No matter how many I've seen I still get so excited over them.  I took this one with my iphone.

138/365: Fresh picked Strawberries
There are so many great things about this time of year. Some of the best flowers and the fruits and veggies are all starting to come in.  We LOVE the strawberries from our favorite Farmer's Market. Messicks Farm. You can't even compare the ones in the store to these amazingly sweet little gems.

139/365: Beautiful Sky
Tonight we ran out of time this evening and didn't get to get a photo, so it just worked out that the sky was gorgeous. My favorite thing about the sunset is that it never looks the same twice.

Next up in our circle is Kelly Tyack from Australia. She always has something fun to share.  Click here to see her week.

Until next time... xo

The Daily Frame May 7th -13th Remington, Virginia Photographer

Hello Friends!  It's time to share my week in photos with you.  This week there were a couple days that I almost missed getting my photo, because life was a little hectic and busy. I did end up getting them and I'm glad I didn't slack and give up.   So here's my week Wednesday to Wednesday.

126/365: Monticello
Today we took a little early evening trip to Monticello. I photographed a friend from High school's son. We had a great evening. The drive there was so good, we cranked the radio and sang 80's songs most of the way. You laughed because no matter what the station I could sing pretty much any song. I love our car rides together. I know that one day when our babies are grown that you and I will take an epic road trip and you will show me so much of this country that I've never seen. I know that we will have the best time and be able to drive and not tire of one another, because we already spend much of our time together in the car(van).    While I was shooting you walked around and checked out Monticello. What a gorgeous place. Before we left you had me get this snap shot of you with the statue of Thomas Jefferson.  We had fun at dinner with Lori and her family and then had a great ride home together. It is rare that we get time alone, just the two of us. So when we do, even if it is in the car, I try to cherish it and make the best of it.

127/365: Lazy Friday night
This evening traffic was awful getting home, so we ended up being late.  Then we had to drop Mariah off with her Dad, and then pick up Shawn from a friends house. By the time we got home we were just happy to chill out. Today was one of those days, that I just wasn't feeling getting the shot. Although you just looked so cute and content playing Injustice on my phone. I love how your not so little feet were twisting and moving as you were making all your moves in the game. I guess it's the little details of the moments that matter sometimes.

128/365:  For the love of baseball
It started with Conor because he wanted to learn about playing Baseball. I think it reminded you of playing baseball yourself. Ever since you have been going out in the evenings and just hitting some balls. I think it's been a good release for you at the end of the day.  I love when you hit the balls so far away and the kids are just excited and amazed at how far you can hit that ball. You are good at this. You talk about wanting to coach if Conor starts playing baseball. I hope you do. I think it would be good for you. In the mean time, I'm going to keep enjoying watching you play and shock you every once in a while with the fact that I can hit the ball pretty well too. :)

129/365: Never Ending Handstands
You live to be outside. This time of year, it is so hard to get you to come inside. I'm not complaining. I'm glad you like to play outside and not just sit inside playing on electronics or watching t.v.  If it were up to you, you'd play from the moment you got home until the moment you had to go to bed. You would skip dinner and your shower if it meant you got to stay out and play until it got dark.  Tonight you were practicing your handstands. You are getting better and better.

130/365: Today was a bad day
Oh where to start for today.... Our power was out today. It caused more stress than it should have and caused a lot of hard feelings and hurtful words that were unnecessary.  We often take things for granted and take one another for granted.  We place blame on one another when we really are supposed to be a team. Neither one of us are perfect and we all make mistakes.I think this makes us human.  Although this was not the best day, I think in the long run in forced us to see parts of ourselves that we wish we could change to improve ourselves and our marriage. Marriage is work. It isn't always easy.  It doesn't come with a handbook on how to handle every situation or how to handle each other when we are in our worst of moments. One thing I am learning is that it is it's own job in itself. You have to work hard to maintain it. You have to give it the love and attention it needs.  You have to value it and cherish it. The more you put in to it, the more reward you get back from it. I do believe we have a strong marriage. I do believe we value what we have. I do believe we learn lessons daily on how to improve and be better. I think that is what helps make us stronger.

131/365: New Skateboard
Today you got a new skateboard.  You are changing every day and growing up more and more. You are quickly becoming a teenager with your own strong mindset full of ideas and opinions.  I do love that you are getting in to skateboarding, and I especially love that you are all about 90's music. Today was really hot in the 90's and you were still wearing your favorite leather jacket.  I know later in life, you will look back at this image and remember this period of your life. It is not just your look that this image shows,  it just shows who you are right now in your personality.

132/365: Gorgeous evening
Today was just beautiful out. The weather was much cooler and there was a breeze outside.  We delayed dinner a bit and just hung out outside. You and your friend enjoyed goofing around at the playground and climbing on the monkey bars. Nothing serious just enjoying our simple little life.  Oh and I forgot to mention, the light was just beautiful.

Next up in our circle is my incredibly talented friend from New York City, Colleen Putnam.  Please click here to follow to her page and check out her week. She always has something amazing to share.
Thanks for following along this week and listening to me ramble on about the sentiments of my life right now...
Until next week... xo

The Daily Frame April 30th - May 6th Remington, Virginia Photographer

Hello Friends! Hope you have had a great week! We've been running busy most of the week, but we have made the best of it.   So here is my week in photos.

119/365: Yard full of wishes
Now that we are in the midst of spring our yard has sprung up full of dandelions. For most, and us really. They are weeds that clutter up our yard and we can't wait to get rid of them. For you though, they are wishes.  An endless amount of wishes. You have always loved making wishes on them and it's such a classic part of childhood. Wish on sweet girl... I hope that all your wishes come true for you.

120/365: Puppy Squishes
You are getting closer and closer to these pups. I love when you want to cuddle them or when you call them your best friends. I am so looking forward to watching you grow up with them and having lots of fun adventures.

121/365: The Full Moon Goddess
The moon was just beautiful tonight.

Lady of the silver moon, Watch over me this night, Guide my words and actions, and keep me within your sight.  I thank you for your love, and for protecting me from strife, I honor you for bringing charm and magic  to my life.

122/365: Day at the River
This morning was so beautiful outside. We decided to take the dogs and go for a walk down around  the trails by the river. We love this beach spot. You all had so much fun today.  I will have so many more from this day in another post, but I loved this one.

123/365: May the 4th... May the Force be with you.
Anyone that knows us knows that Star Wars is huge in our house. Matthew has loved Star Wars since he was a kid and still is so crazy over it. Shawn and Ethan love Star Wars as they were younger, and now it is your turn. So May the Force be with you my little Jedi.

124/365: Evening mowing
I forgot to mention earlier that our lawn mower broke this week, so with all the rain our grass is a little crazy. You love to mow. You and your Dad mow every Saturday together. Tried to get some of it done tonight, but the mower just wasn't cutting it.

125/365: Long Evening
Today was  so long. I honestly did not even have a chance to get my big cam out. So when I ran out for my walk I just snapped a shot of the sky with my iphone so I got something for today.

So that's it for this week... Thanks for following along...

Until next time... xo
