Day 3: Our Beautiful Life ~ Sunday Funday

Well, it's day 3 and I think I captured lots of childhood throughout our day today.  This is what it is all about for me. Hoping my littles enjoy their childhood. I had an amazing childhood, and every weekend was always full of fun little adventures. I want my kids to remember all the little fun things we do.  I tried to capture a lot today, but I did put my camera down for part of it. We went strawberry picking and I started taking photos there, but then I put my camera away and just enjoyed the moment. Sometimes that is also nice. To be part of what we are doing without a camera in hand.

So to start we were just sitting around in the morning, and Conor says Mommy, you turn music on for me.  So we flicked through the tv and found some music, We stopped at one of the country music stations and Amazing Grace was being sang.  I was surprised he wanted me to stop there, but he grabbed his little guitar and started singing and dancing his little heart out. It was such a beautiful moment. ( A little hard to capture because he is spinning and moving so quickly.) I am personally obsessed with music. So when he asks for music and dances and sings it just melts my heart.  So here's our beautiful Amazing Grace moment...

So as I said earlier, we went strawberry picking, but I started taking photos when we got there, and then stopped.  There were these beautiful flowers just before the strawberry patch, so I really wanted to capture them. I love flowers.  This is what I started with, and then put the camera away...

So then later in the evening, we got the sprinkler out and let the kids play in the sprinkler and play with their bubble guns.

So how else do we end this evening than to start a fire and roast marshmallows.  Summer is truly in the air and it is my favorite time of the year.  I am looking forward to many more days like this.

I hope you are enjoying this peek in to our world... Until tomorrow... xo

May 30 Minutes in the Life

It's that time again for our 30 minutes in the life post.  This month we have had lots of rain, and we have this huge shared field in our subdivision behind our house. The community hasn't mowed it yet, so the grass is super tall and thick.  The kids love running through this field and playing in the grass.   On this day, I was driving home from work just hoping they hadn't mowed the field yet. Luckily they hadn't. So we put homework aside and ran out to the field and played. We had tons of fun and I love the photos we captured during this 30 minutes of our evening.  .  Be sure to follow along through our circle and check out my very sweet friend Sharleen Stuart.  She is an amazing photographer from Florida, who always blows my mind with her nature adventures and finds.

So here's some of my favorites...

Until next time... xo
