Day 25- 37 Our Beautiful Life ~ Virginia, Lifestyle Photographer

Day 26: June 18th

Today we had special Dr. Pepper in vintage soda bottles with fun straws. You guys all loved them.

Day 27: June 19th:

Tonight we got home late because I had to work late and we got stuck in terrible traffic and rain storms. We still managed to have a few minutes to go out and play. You love blowing bubbles.

Day 28: June 20th
You have rediscovered a passion for something and it's beautiful. I hope you remember the way you feel on this day. I love seeing you happy and excited about something. I love seeing you embrace something that you forgot how much you loved.

Day 29: June 21st

Discovering the magnolia tree. She is enjoying the sweet smell of these blooms, but my favorite thing about this image is that I can see the vein on her cheek. This vein is her birth mark and it has stood out on her pale skin ever since she was a tiny baby. There is just something about it I love.

We had some fun taking some more photos today too. So here are a couple more. :)

Day 30: June 22

Yay! Today I made it through my first 30 days of a photo a day. I am proud I am sticking with it and doing so well. Sometimes I take too many photos, but sometimes I just try to get one for the day.

This morning we went out to the field in the back to take some photos. You wanted your photo taken with the purple wildflowers that only bloom in the mornings.  We ended up having so much fun laughing and chasing tiny butterflies all over.

Day 31: June 23

Being 12, So serious at times. I love when I get to take your photo though.

Day 32: June 24

Tonight you were so excited because you got to go skating with friends. It was a special night, and you couldn't wait to be picked up.

Day 33: June 25

You found your Batman hat, and love wearing it everywhere, especially to mow.

Day 34: June 26

Today was hot and we got out the kiddy pool. You loved having icee pops today.

Day 35: June 27

Tonight we dropped the older kids off with their Dad and we decided to have our own little movie night and watch Where the Wild Things are together. This was my favorite story when I was a kid, and I love getting to share it with each of you.   You loved it so much!

Day 36: June 28

Today you let me practice my homework for my class by being my model. I am so glad you did, because I love this photograph of you so much.

Day 37: June 29

I was lucky enough that you guys let me take your photos for practice this evening also.

I can't believe it's almost July.  I will try to be better about sharing more frequently this month.  Thanks for following along. xo

30 Minutes in the Life June Edition Warrenton, Virginia Photographer

It's that time of the month for our June 30 minutes in the life post.  My post this month is from a little date I had with my daughter, Mariah.  She is the middle child, and often times just wants some special attention of her own.  Her older brothers get to do some things that she doesn't with their friends and she just needs something special for her.  So one Saturday morning we got up and did just that.  We had to go to Fredericksburg which is about an hour away.  There is a Krispy Kreme donut shop there, that she has been wanting to go to.  So I thought this would be the perfect little treat to start off our morning.  I mean who doesn't love their donuts, they are the best!    Be sure to follow along our circle and check out the other amazing photographers in our group.  Next up in the circle is Kristi Burton, click here to see her story this month.

Until next time...

Our Beautiful Life Day 13- 25

Well, I've got several days of catching up to do here on the blog... If you follow my facebook page you will see daily updates of this project.  So far shooting every day is going really well, and I love the outcome of the photographs I am taking.  Most of all, I love the every day moments that we are capturing. This past week I was also challenged by a sweet photographer friend to photograph 5 photos a day for 5 days.  So you will see some of those in here as well.   Well let's get to it...

Day 13: June 4:
Our friends from Colorado came to visit this week. Mel and my husband have been the best of friends since they were in their teens. Mel and I have our own story... 20 years and so much has changed. I think we both have a different respect and love for one another now. So this photo means more to me than it will look on the outside to everyone else.  We are laughing together, our eyes are closed and it's not the perfect shot... But that is ok.

Day 14: June 5th:
Today Mel and the family came to our house for a visit this evening.  I lots of photos, but I haven't edited them all yet. So I will share one of my favorite moments from this evening.  Conor and Hannah. They were adorable together.

Day 15: June 6th
Tonight Conor wanted to learn to ride his bike.  He got it for Christmas, but hasn't wanted much to do with it.  Well tonight that changed...

Day 16: June 7th
Tonight we played football with the boys. You got hit in the face and held your tears as much as you could to be brave. I was proud of you.

Day 17: June 8th

Today we had an unexpected water balloon fight. You guys had fun and got water everywhere. You were so excited.

Day 18: June 9th
Today I was tagged by another photog friend to capture 5 photos for 5 days of my every day life. So here was day 1.   My 1 obsession besides photography, Coca Cola. 2) My hubby playing on his phone waiting for the grill to heat up. 3) Hunt Burgers on the grill. A family favorite around here. 4) My never ending sink of dishes. 5) A Nirvana tribute magazine that I read tonight. Music has never been the same, and honestly I am not sure it will ever be again.

Day 19: June 10th
 1) Stuck in traffic on 66. A van caught on fire. 2) Last day of school. Shawn came so far this year in his first year of middle school. 3) Mariah met her best friend Sara and they are inseperable. 4) Bath time for the little one. He thinks he's just swimming most days. 5) Cotton candy ice-cream for dessert. His new favorite!

Day 20: June 11th
Today I was waiting on Mat, and there was lots of cool summer time weeds that just looked beautiful so I decided to photograph them while I was waiting.

 Day 21:  June 12th
Day 4 of my 5 day challenge. Our washer broke so we went to the laundry mat and had a little fun while we were waiting.

Day 21: June 13th (Friday the 13th)
Tonight we had crazy storms, We love watching the storms so we played outside before it got too bad, and I stood out as long as I could to capture the sky.  The sunset afterward was beautiful.

 Day 22: June 14th
They mow together every Saturday.  Conor thinks he is doing it all and Dad is just pretending playing outside with him. It's truly so cute.

Day 23: June 15th
Today was Father's Day, Conor wanted to be outside riding his bike most of the day. He is just so proud of himself.

Day 24: June 16th
Tonight you wanted to help me clean and you vacuumed for such a long time.

Day 25: June 17th
Bath time. You love this time of night. You gather all your super-heroes and play and swim. I love this time with you.

Thanks for following along in our little piece of the world. Until next time... xo

Our Beautiful Life... Day 4-12 Warrenton Lifestyle Photographer

My photo a day journey is going quite well. I am getting in to a routine of shooting something for me each day. I haven't been sharing on here daily, but I have on my facebook page which you can find by clicking here.   I decided to combine them every few days.   So here is day 4-12.

Day 4: Today we made Tie Dye shirts. Oh so much fun. We got really messy and the die stained our skin for days. We love our shirts though.

Day 5: You love to go outside and twirl and dance in the grass. I love seeing you be so carefree and happy.

Day 6: Wednesday nights are gymnastics night.  You did so great. You did handstands on the balance beam and 1 handed cartwheels.

Day 7: It was so rainy and gloomy.  We decided to go outside for a few minutes anyway.  We did just in time because a few days later they mowed the back field where this beautiful tall grass was. There are a few to share today...

Day 8: I went out on my lunch break and saw these little beauties on the bush by the parking lot.  I love lady bugs. I have always heard they are a sign of good luck.  So seeing this little beauty stand out amongst the chaos of a busy business parking lot was like a sign of hope and good things to come.

Day 9: Today we made home made whip cream together. It is one of your favorites. The older kids were not here so you got to lick the beater without having to fight for it.  We also walked over to the carnival for a bit. You loved listening to music while we were there. You wanted nothing to do with riding the rides though.  I enjoyed photographing the ferris wheel. Your dad loves the joker and cards, so we took one in honor of him too.  I love carnivals.

Day 10: Shawn, my first born. You made me a mom and you make me so proud every day.  You melt my heart lately with your sweetness. I want to soak these times up because as you grow in to a teenager I know these moments will be few and far between.  Tonight you came home from a walk and you had picked me every daisy you saw on the trail. There must have been over 50 of them. It was such a sweet surprise.

Day 11: We made a messy daisy chain head band. You put on your hand made tie dye shirt and decided that you were a hippie because you want to save the world by recycling.  Looking at you today I saw so much of myself in you when I was a little girl.

Day 12: It was so fun tonight watching you eat watermelon. You love it so very much. Other than ketchup it is your favorite.

I hope you will keep following along... I am loving photographing even just a few minutes of our little world. <3
